Health Warning for Oblation
Playing video games can sometimes affect your health. While Oblation is a simple, pixelated game, please take a moment to read these warnings.
Photosensitivity/Epilepsy Warning
A very small percentage of individuals may experience epileptic seizures or blackouts when exposed to certain visual effects, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these "photosensitive epileptic seizures" while playing video games.
If you or anyone in your family has an epileptic condition or has ever had seizures of any kind, consult your doctor before playing. If you experience any of the following symptoms while playing Oblation – dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of awareness, disorientation, any involuntary movement, or convulsions – IMMEDIATELY discontinue use and consult your doctor.
Repetitive Strain Injury
Playing video games can make your muscles, joints, or skin hurt. If you feel tired, numb, tingling, burning, or stiff, do not ignore these warning signs. See a qualified health professional, even if the symptoms are mild, because problems can get worse over time. Take frequent breaks during play, and if you continue to have symptoms, stop playing.
Eye Strain
As with any screen-based activity, prolonged gameplay can lead to eye strain. Take regular breaks and play in a well-lit room to reduce the risk of discomfort.
General Well-being
Remember to play in a comfortable environment and take regular breaks. Stay hydrated and be mindful of your posture during gameplay.
By playing Oblation, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these health warnings.
